This show was an intimate peer into the world of Angela de Castro, exploring identity and transformation. Yo Yo was a solo show that mixed stand up, poetry, clowning, music and text to explore de Castro’s personal life revealing the person behind the clown. Truthful, searing and funny, with original live music, this show did a 6-month tour in the UK and Ireland in 2003-2004.
Writer: Bryony Lavery from the original stories and poems of Angela de Castro.
Director: Gail Kelly.
Original development and tour supported by the Arts Council, Battersea Arts Centre and the Brazilian Embassy in London, 2003.
